Imagine a space that is as comfortable as your very own living room. A place you can visit every week that is removed from your routine, a refuge from the world. Warm, comforting and inviting, this place is known as Evergreen’s Living Room.
The Living Room offers respite for caregivers, while providing support, a variety of life-affirming and, yes, FUN activities for the individual. Activities regularly include massage, relaxation exercises, music, speakers, complementary therapies - and always a great lunch and lively conversation.
Individuals interested in attending must be residents of Markham or Whitchurch-Stouffville, over 18 years of age, mobile, cognitive and responsible for his or her own personal care needs and medications. The Living Room is walker and wheelchair accessible.
Evergreen's Living Room welcomes clients every Thursday from 10am - 2pm. A minimum $5.00 donation per day is appreciated to cover the cost of lunch and activities.
